How to read this — alpha, bands, lanes, building status

Alpha (0 – 100)

Alpha is the property's investment score. It is not a price and not a probability. It is a weighted blend of 20 criteria from the Sri Lanka Property Acquisition Playbook — title clarity, encumbrance status, NBRO compliance, discount to fair value, building status, liquidity, climate risk, and 13 others.

alpha = Σ (criterion_score × weight) / 10

Each criterion is scored 0 – 10. Weights are listed in data/scoring_weights.yaml and sum to 100. The three largest are discount_to_fair_value (14), title_clarity (12), and family_home_suitability (12). Click any card and scroll to "Alpha breakdown" to see all 20 contributions.
